"We are a diverse group of practitioners working within sonic and visual arts, with a common interest in experimental, trans-disciplinary practices. This proposal concerns an expanded workshop/performance to be developed during a residency at arts centre Surnadal Billag in March 2019, in preparation for a public rehearsal at SAR. Members of the group work with film and video, electronic sound, musical performance, instrument building, interactive installation, performance art, and combinations of these. Several are, or have been, fellows in the Norwegian research program, and others are supervisors. During the residency in Surnadal a number of strands will be explored within smaller groups. Some of these will be publicly presented in Trondheim at Galleri KiT, as a ""pre-rehearsal"" for the rehearsal proposed for SAR. For the conference we envisage a live rehearsal in which several aspects of the previous workshop will be explored and developed within a format that opens up for dynamic interaction with the public / audience. All participants have extensive experience of collaboration across a range of artistic disciplines, working through a combination of artistic practice and artistic research. At the core of the project is an investigation of place and time, mediated through an interaction between live performance and digital technologies, within a spatial installation with flexible parameters.
